Best 50 Hollywood Fantasy Movies of All Time
  • Fantasy movies provide us true escape from reality by bringing viewers to faraway lands with magical powers, creatures, and beings.Fantasy movies are excellent source of pure entertainment. The farthest depths of imagination are brought to the surface in the different stories that fall under the category of fantasy. The best fantasy movies ever made are those that often inspire massive franchises, introduce novel aspects to the oversaturated genre, or are impactful and memorable enough to stay with audiences for years. These are also the ideal movies for viewers looking for the must-watch fantasy movie, as they defined and continue to change the enduring genre. Here is my Best 50 Hollywood Fantasy Movies of All Time:-

  • The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is a amaz fantasy movie with adventure. I loved the environment that is set in Bilbo´s hobbit hole. I think it accurately depicts the first part of the book, which is super important in my opinion, and even as a stand alone movie it would still be awesome. I like how when Bilbo encountered Gollum, they got in all the riddles that there was in the chapter of the book, Riddles in the dark. Overall great movie if you liked the books, or if you love high fantasy stories.

4. Star Wars

  • Release Year:1977
  • Duration: 2h 1m
  • Director:George Lucas

  • Star Wars is a timeless classic fantasy and adventure movie. The story probably needs very little explanation; Luke Skywalker spends his days on a moisture farm on the planet Tatooine with his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, sick and tired of being a farmhand and hoping for an adventure, when he soon acquires the bickering droids C-3PO and R2D2 who reveal a secret message from the captured Princess Leia being held by the Galactic Empire.

  • The Return of the King

5.The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

  • IMDb Rating: 9/10 (over 1.8M votes)
  • Release Year:2003
  • Duration:3h 21m
  • Director: Peter Jackson

  • The Return of the King is 3rd part of The Lord of the Rings movie. In the movie, action is extremely thrilling, the script is brilliantly written, the cinematography and directing are ingenious, Ian Mckellens acting is brilliant.

  • OMG

6. Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

  • IMDb Rating: 8.7/10 (over 1.3M votes)
  • Release Year:1980
  • Duration:2h 4m
  • Director:Irvin Kershner

  • Empire strikes back is another Star Wars movie with great new characters like yoda lando and boba. My favourite scene in the film is where Yoda uses the force to pick up Luke's ship the music in that scene made me cry no joke. The duel with luke and vader is very intense every hit with the saber you feel it definitely better than the first films duel.

  • Pirates of the Caribbean

7.Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

  • IMDb Rating: 8.1/10 (over 1.1m votes)
  • Release Year:2003
  • Duration:2h 23m
  • Director: Gore Verbinski

  • Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl one of a best fantasy movie to watch. Everything about this movie is completely stunning and nothing makes me feel more alive than the locations, the story, the effects and most of all the musical score. This movie has got one of the greatest musical scores that could ever be created for a movie like this one, the adventure, the feeling, the spirit, everything. There is no pirate like the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow.

  • The Two Towery

8.The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

  • IMDb Rating: 8.8/10 (over 1.6M votes)
  • Release Year:2002
  • Duration:2h 59m
  • Director: Peter Jackson

  • The Two Towers is 2nd part of The Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson has done a really great job. The story picks up from the part where Gandalf was attacked, except this time it happens from the other point of view. This not only helps the viewer remember an incident that was important from the previous movie, but also makes it interesting by not showing the exact same shots again. While previously we believed Gandalf to be just a weak old man, over here he turned out to be a strong wizard. This is the reason why it paid off to see him return as Gandalf the White.
