The first T20 World Cup was held in South Africa in 2007, and since then, it has become one of the most eagerly awaited events in the cricketing calendar.

The tournament is typically held in different parts of the

world, with the host nation being decided by the ICC. The 2021 T20 World Cup

moved to the United Arab Emirates and Oman. The tournament is set to be played

from October 17 to November 14, 2021.

The format of the T20 World Cup involves 16 teams being divided

into two groups of eight. Each team plays the other teams in their group in a

round-robin format, with the top four teams from each group advancing to the

knockout stage. The knockout stage consists of four quarterfinals, two

semifinals, and a final.

The T20 Cricket World

Cup has seen some exciting moments and memorable performances over

the years. In the inaugural tournament in 2007, India surprised everyone by

winning the title under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. In 2009,

Pakistan won the tournament in England, while in 2010, England claimed their

first T20 World Cup title in the West Indies.

Sri Lanka hosted the 2012 T20 World Cup, where the West Indies

emerged as champions, thanks to some spectacular batting from Marlon Samuels in

the final against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh hosted the 2014 T20 World Cup, but it

was won by Sri Lanka, who beat India in the final.

The 2016 T20 World Cup, held in India, was won by the West

Indies, who defeated England in a thrilling final. Carlos Brathwaite hit four

sixes in the final over to seal victory for the Caribbean side.

The upcoming 2021 T20 World Cup promises to be a high-octane affair,

with some of the best T20 players from around the world set to take part.

India, who won the tournament in 2007 and reached the final in 2014, will be

among the favorites to win the title. Other top contenders include England, the
