2.  You must go through 180 hours of pre-licensing real estate coursework which includes six courses. However, it must be noted that the course that you take must be provided by an approved cost provider authorized by the Real Estate Department of Texas.

3.  You must be a citizen if the USA with a valid Social Security number.

4.  You must pass the Texas real estate exam with at least 75 percent or above.

5.  You must go through a rigorous background to clear your name of any criminal activities attached to your name.

6.  You must get a licensed real estate broker having a brokerage in Texas to sponsor and mentor you at the start of your career. This way you can enrich yourself with the experience of the real estate world and how to navigate through its waters.

7.  You must submit any required fee for the exam application process, the examination fee, the license application fee, the background check fee, or any other fee related to it. It will seal the deal.

8.  After you have submitted all the required documents and fees, you must now keep a check on the status of your license approval and its release from the official website.

9.  It usually takes a few weeks to even a couple of months to get your official real estate license. How much time it takes depends upon the traffic of applications and demand for licenses in the state during that time.
