How to install Windows 10/11 Without USB/DVD 

To use this easiest way to install Windows 10/11 without USB/DVD, please make sure you already have a Windows OS on your PC, if you have a Linux or other system, this post is not right for you!

1. Please download Windows 10/11 Disk Image (ISO) file from Microsoft site

Windows 11 Download

2. Open the Windows 10/11 ISO file , you can use free tool Win-rar or 7-zip to open it !


3. Double Click the "Setup" in the folder and launch the Windows 10/11 installation! 

4. Follow the steps and select "Download and install updates (recommended)"

5. It is better to select the "Keep personal files and apps" or "Keep Personal files" option as we don’t want to lose installed apps and important data.


6. Then follow the steps to install the Windows 10/11.

How to delete the Windows.old folder

After install a new Windows 10/11 OS on your computer without the DVD/USB , You will find a Windows.old folder in C Drive. it takes up about 20 GB, so it is better to delete it !


Here is how to delete the Windows.old folder:

Select Settings System Storage > Temporary files

Select the Previous version of Windows check box, and then select Remove files.



  


After completing the steps, the Windows.old folder will be removed, and you will free about 20GB of storage space on your primary hard drive.
