Epic further clarified that they have specific guidelines set for the Fortnite World Cup and about 1,200 players have been forfeited from the qualifier list as they have broken the set rules and will no longer be able to participate in the tournament.
The report from the reliable sources suggested that Epic Games have banned 1,163 players on the terms of violating the set Fortnite tournament guidelines have used unfair means to secure their spot in the ongoing matches. All the 1,163 players have used a hack to neutralize the region lock which restricts players from playing more than three hours in some specific regions.
As players require to reach to higher levels, they require to play the game for long hours, but due to the region lock, they get restricted to playing the game for only three hours in a day. So to counter fit this, many rely on using various hacks and unlock this region restriction.
Still, Fortnite has stated that they have some set rules and code of conduct and whosoever would be caught breaking the established guidelines would be disqualified and to this effect, about 1,200 players have been banned from the game. Further on one of the gamers had to face a hard press ban of two weeks as he was proven to be using a mode which marked the enemies hidden on the map.
Surely this is a bold move presented by Epic Games studio, and it showcases the effort of the brand to maintain even playing field for each and every player.
