Nobody understands your pain as you do. Therefore, for anyone to fit into your shoes, they must be able to listen even to the unspoken fears and concerns. Sometimes, we are only depressed because we didn’t have someone to listen to us. Once we speak out, we are able to pour out all the pain and fears in our hearts which makes our load much lighter. 


2. Not Quick to Judge

There are people who are only depressed over very childish reasons. What is driving them crazy is such a simple thing that many people would never care about. A good counselor should however not be too obvious to the patient. It is easier to allow them talk and listen to what they have and with time, they might realize their concern was uncalled for.
