How Much Budget Do You Need For Google Ads?

As a marketer, the first thing that would come to your mind is how much you require to run a successful Google Ads campaign. Many people are unsure about budgeting and find it challenging to make the right judgment.

As a result, they don’t set a proper budget for the Google Ads campaign and lose a lot of money. Therefore, I will give you an idea of how you can set an accurate budget for your Google Ads.

How Much Should You Set Aside For Google Ads?

People who are new to Google Ads and just starting to learn about might be confused regarding the budget they should set. If you have no experience running a Google Ads campaign, the ideal thing to do is use the amount you are comfortable losing. Things can go south, especially if you are using Google Ads for the first time.

Therefore, you need to be sure about the amount of money you can afford to lose. You don’t need to empty up your entire bank account in the first go. You should have a comprehensive strategy in mind before working with Google Ads.

How Long Is The Testing Period?

The testing process can take anywhere from 2 to 3 months. It does not imply that you won’t see any results in that timeframe when optimising the campaigns. You might get leads or sales in a short time as soon as the campaign starts running.

However, the price of running the campaign will increase as soon as you add negative keywords, start testing the ads, and so on.

What Does The Testing Process Entail?

The testing process entails using the budget to get optimal results through your Google Ads campaign. Big corporations have the leverage to spend tens of thousands in the testing phase and then decide on the budget. However, that is something not possible for small or medium-sized enterprises.

Ergo, the ideal approach is to target smaller goals, let’s say 30 clicks per day. It shouldn’t be as low as 2 to 3 dollars since you won’t see a massive impact. It will only cause frustration since you will see nothing is happening even after 14 to 21 days.

Try getting a sizeable amount of clicks to your website to get a better idea of what is working for you and what is not. That click can cost you $1 or $100, so it makes no sense to quote an exact figure to you.

If you were told that the budget should be $50 a day and the click is costing you $100, then it will be of no use. Therefore, you should go by the click and multiple with your median CPC (Cost-Per-Click). If you don’t have any data to work with, you can go to the keyword planner.

It will give you the page average CPC to start running your campaigns. Various top marketers use this strategy, and this is how I do it myself. However, it is optimal to start with a budget that you can afford to lose and are comfortable running.
