EPGM203 is a thermoset composite combining a chopped E-glass fiber mat with a bisphenol-A epoxy matrix. With dielectric strength of 18–22 kV/mm and a CTI of 400 V, it delivers reliable insulation for transformers, motors, and switchgear. Its glass transition temperature (140–160 °C) and low water absorption (<0.5 %) ensure dimensional stability and long-term performance in both dry and oil-immersed environments.
Key features include:
Mechanical Strength: Tensile 80–100 MPa; flexural 120–150 MPa
Electrical Properties: Surface resistance ≥10¹² Ω; dielectric constant ≈4.7 at 1 kHz
Thickness Range: 0.2–3.0 mm, customizable for clearance and creepage needs
Processing: CNC-trimmed, die-cut, or laminated; cured at 160–180 °C under pressure
Common applications:
Transformer Barriers & Spacers: Phase-to-phase and turn-to-turn insulation
Motor Slot Liners & End-Turn Wraps: Withstand centrifugal forces and heat
Switchgear Insulating Walls: Prevent flashover and tracking
Busbar & Terminal Supports: Maintain creepage distances under load
By selecting the right thickness and following standard machining and bonding practices, EPGM203 sheets enable compact, durable, and high-performance electrical designs across a wide range of industrial equipment.
