They will issue an e-certificate with a unique identification number and a QR code after effective registration on the udyam registration portal.
The following are the highlights of the Udyam Registration Process:

- MSME will be allowed to register at the Udyam Registration Portal.
- The MSME registration process is exclusively online, without the use of paper, and is based on self-declaration. For registering an MSME, no records or evidence are needed to be uploaded.
- Registration would necessitate the use of an Aadhaar code.
- After registration, you will be given a specific registration number.
- After completion of the process of registration, an Udyam Registration Certificate will be issued.
- This certificate will have a dynamic QR Code from which the web page on MSME Ministries Portal and details about the enterprise can be accessed.
- Renewal of MSME Udyam Registration is not needed.
- Information on spending and turnover of companies connected to PAN and GST can be automatically collected from the appropriate government datasets.
- The online infrastructure for the MSME Ministry will be completely compatible with the Income Tax and GST IN programmes.

- Udyog Aadhaar (UAM), the previous MSME registration process, will only be effective until March 31, 2021. Established MSME' s would be asked to re-register at the Udyam Registration Portal.
