Are you ready to start getting more done? The Eat That Frog! technique was developed by Brian Tracy and will help you stop procrastinating and get more done every day! Here are eight Eat That Frog! tips to help you stay productive all day long.

1) Set a Timer

When you can't find the motivation or drive to get started on something, it can be tempting to use procrastination as a coping mechanism. If this sounds like you, then I have some good news. There are plenty of methods out there that might work for you. One of my favorite is the Eat That Frog time management technique.

2) Break Down Big Tasks into Small Ones

Break down big tasks into small ones. I call this the eat that frog time management technique. What do frogs have that might be good for me? They eat a lot of bugs. They keep the pond clean. They even eat their tadpoles’ brothers and sisters when they need extra food, and so on. What does that have to do with my procrastination habits?

3) Use To-Do Lists

To-Do Lists can be a great way to organize your thoughts so you don't feel overwhelmed. They also remind you of tasks that are due or coming up that you may have forgotten about. This can keep your focus on the important things, and help with Eat That Frog time management technique (a philosophy championed by Brian Tracy which says that if we get our most difficult task done first, then everything else is much easier).

4) Delegate Those Menial Tasks

If you are trying to be productive, it's important not to waste time doing menial tasks like making phone calls or running errands. Doing those things will rob you of time that could be better spent on other, more productive tasks. There are a lot of tools out there for helping with this, such as scheduling your social media posts in advance or setting up reminder emails for important items on your to-do list.

5) Stick to Deadlines

One key strategy that can help you get more done is to set deadlines for yourself. Be mindful of when deadlines are coming up, and stick with them. Write your deadlines on a large piece of paper on the wall by your desk so you have something physical in front of you when it's time to buckle down.

6) Write Everything Down

Not only will this make you feel more in control, but it will also give you a clear overview of the tasks on your plate. The process for identifying what needs your attention can be boiled down to four simple steps: identify goals, identify constraints, break objectives into actionable tasks, and create a schedule or deadlines.

7) Start Your Day with an A Task

Rising early is one of the most underrated ways to stop procrastinating. The benefits are vast—starting your day with an A task gives you momentum for the rest of the day, lets you tackle tougher jobs earlier, and frees up your evening for socializing. Whether it's 6am or 7am, start your day by tackling a challenging task or something that will improve your mood. Starting your day with a difficult task forces you to get focused on something productive instead of wasting time scrolling through Instagram.

8) Listen to Music While You Work

Some people may find it easier to work while listening to music. I love listening to music while I work because it helps distract me from my surroundings, which in turn, make me feel more focused. Plus, when you listen to music you like, the time flies by much faster.
